Frequently Asked Questions
Sphere Combat Systems
Q. Do I need to buy a certain uniform to train with Sphere Combat?
A. No Sphere teaches tactics that can be used in all situations and so although we encourage comfortable clothing of any kind to train in, it doesn't actually matter what you wear because in a real life situation you would be in the clothing that you usually wear and so you can actually wear anything to train in.
Q.
Do I need to be a gym buff to take part in the training?
A. Not at all, at Sphere we work within your abilities, there are no limitations to training with Sphere any fitness level, ability, disability or self limitations proving to you that you can break barriers within you own mind. If there is something you are not able to do for whatever reason we can adapt it to achieve the desired outcome. A note from one of our students " I slipped on some ice and injured my left knee and elbow, usually I would skip my usual workouts because they are hard to adapt to things like a aerobic class or a spinning class you don't want to be the one lagging behind in pain but trying to push yourself. I messaged Peter before I was due to attend training told him what had happened fully expecting him to tell me to rest up this week but instead he told me that we could adapt the training, In all fairness I was still really skeptical that I was going to be in pain or not be able to do what was expected of me but actually I was surprised when it became almost a passing comment of ' Because you have an injury we will do this instead' I was still able to train to the full with the same effect! I thought that I would be useless and sore the whole time but Peter told me 'regardless of ability or injury you can still protect yourself its all about adapting to the situation, having an injury should by no means, mean that you are a target or think to yourself that you cannot protect yourself because of it, there is always a way to overcome any limitation no matter what it is as long as you are taught how to do so.' Peter was right, I had basically written myself off as unable when actually I was still very able!"
